Detective LaRue and LaRue Across America | Little Lit Book Series

More mail books for this month’s theme—sequels to Dear Mrs. LaRue: Letters from Obedience School.

In Detective LaRue: Letters from the Investigation, Ike finds himself in trouble with the law and gets entangled in the disappearance of Mrs. Hibbins’ cats.  Of course, he insists that he is wrongly accused and he relays his story and the case for his innocence in a series of letters to his owner Mrs. LaRue who's vacationing in France.

Ike gets stuck on a cross-country road trip with Mrs. Hibbins’ two insufferable, miserable cats in LaRue Across America: Postcards from the Vacation.  He writes to Mrs. Hibbins and pleads with her to send bus fare so he can send the cats on their merry way back home, to no avail.  Both are hilarious reads written and illustrated by Mark Teague.
