We’re partnering with Laurence King Publishing on a giveaway of books by women artists to inspire the next generation of not just artists, but creative thinkers and problem solvers.

In ART PLAY, Marion Deuchars engages children’s creativity to explore different art elements and methods—drawing, color, shapes, paint, paper, printing and pattern.  Young artists can create their own language out of simple shapes, color their mood, make kirigami paper people or put together thaumatropes.  Flipping through this innovative book will inspire a different kind of thinking and looking at things in a new light.

From Yasmeen Ismail’s Draw & Discover series, INSIDE, OUTSIDE, UPSIDE DOWN and PUSH, PULL, EMPTY, FULL give little ones fun opportunities to explore opposites, temporal concepts and prepositions.  Her HAPPY, SAD, FEELING GLAD is all about feelings — we follow Dog, Cat and Donkey as they experience a range of emotions in different situations.

With Anna Rumbsy’s THE PAINTING-IN BOOK, all you need is a armful of your favorite paints as she teaches different techniques and how to mix colors.  Paint some textured honeycomb for the bees and mix up some toothsome flavors of ice cream!  Images of page spreads used with permission from Laurence King Publishing.

Laurence King is giving away a set of these 5 books to one reader.  This is an international giveaway and it ends on Wednesday, March 29.  Take a look at this Instagram post for details and to enter.
